Greenwich has been bustling with activity all summer with the opening of showhomes and the Calgary Farmers’ Market West summer pop-ups. In celebration of what Greenwich will become, we were excited to officially break ground on the future home of Calgary Farmers’ Market West.

The Calgary Farmers’ Market has been embraced by Calgary since it first opened on July 1st, 2004. For 15 years, Calgarians have continued to show up in droves every week to buy local produce, thoughtfully crafted goods and to make meaningful connections with vendors and their community. We’re very excited about the bright future of Calgary’s beloved markets as we break ground on the second location, located in Greenwich.

The mission of CFM is to support the progress and growth of small local business. When they thrive, it invigorates our local economy, and creates a more diverse and vibrant city for us all. The second location will also create more than 200 jobs, is already a long-awaited tourist attraction, and has Calgary’s northwest communities abuzz with anticipation for our arrival.

Get excited, Calgary! Greenwich is starting to take shape. This year we’ve opened showhomes by our three trusted builders, embraced all kinds of weather and shopped local at our summer CFM pop-ups, and built out some amenities like a playground and walking trails.
